What do I need to enroll at STC Ajax?
Nobody expects you to walk in with trade experience already. To register at Ajax, you'll need a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with a valid SIN. Missing the diploma? You can still qualify by completing an entrance assessment with our admissions team.
What are your trade school Ajax class schedules and formats?
All STC pre-apprenticeship programs in Ajax run for 12 weeks, full-time, and in person. Select programs are available part-time, with both evening and weekend schedules and take 24 weeks to complete.
Does STC have a Whitby campus?
No, Skilled Trades College doesn’t currently have a dedicated Whitby campus. However, our Ajax campus (located at 314 Harwood Ave S) is just a short 10-to-15-minute drive from Whitby via Highway 401 or Highway 2. It serves as the primary trade school hub for students located across Whitby and the surrounding Durham Region!
What is the tuition for STC’s Ajax courses?
Tuition for programs at STC costs $14,400. This total covers tools, textbooks, protective equipment, and coursework materials. The only purchase you will need to make separately is a pair of CSA-approved steel-toe boots.
Does your Ajax college qualify for OSAP or other financial aid options?
