Canada's trades shortage is real. Hiring right matters more than ever. STC graduates are pre-vetted, safety-certified, and trained the way the industry demands — through doing, not just watching.
Arrive with mandatory safety certifications already in hand (Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, Lockout/Tagout)
Small class sizes mean every student gets real, supervised hands-on time
Trained on tools and systems used in the field — not scaled-down models
Employment preparation included — resume-ready and professional from day one
Available across 6 Ontario campuses: Ajax, Cambridge, Oakville, Toronto East, Toronto West, and Vaughan
The majority of each program is spent in STC's fully equipped labs — not a classroom. Graduates have real repetitions on real equipment before they ever step on your site.
Every STC grad holds the core safety certifications your sites require — saving you onboarding time and compliance costs.
Source talent across Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Home Renovation — all from one trusted pipeline.
Pre-apprentices are the ideal starting point. Build your apprenticeship program around grads who are already committed to the trade.

Every STC graduate completes the same rigorous program structure. Here's what that means when they show up for their first day with you.

The Canadian government offers significant financial incentives for employers who hire and register apprentices. Here's what's available to you.
The old Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit has been replaced by Ontario's Achievement Incentive program. Eligible employers receive milestone payments of $1,000 each time an apprentice completes a level of in-class training — up to $4,000 per apprentice over the course of the program.
This federal credit remains active and is one of the strongest incentives available. Employers can claim 10% of an apprentice's eligible salary — up to $2,000 per year — for the first two years of a Red Seal apprenticeship. Credits can be carried back 3 years or forward up to 20 years.
Active for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the Canada-Ontario Job Grant covers up to two-thirds of eligible third-party training costs — up to $10,000 per person. Employers contribute the remaining one-third, making structured workforce development significantly more affordable.
New apprentices in eligible trades can receive up to $1,000 toward the purchase of tools and equipment required for their trade. This grant helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for new hires and makes the early stages of an apprenticeship more financially accessible — supporting better retention for employers.
Registered STC partner employers receive early access to graduate profiles before candidates are posted publicly. This means first pick of the best talent each cohort — at no recruitment cost to you. STC's student services team handles the initial vetting, so your hiring process starts further down the funnel.
