12 WEEKS
Primarily hands-on, this course focuses on intensive shop time and wiring circuits to launch confident and capable first‑year apprentices into the trade.
Residential and commercial installation methods
Install wiring, panels, and electrical boxes
Read and interpret electrical blueprints
Use hand and power tools safely
Apply Ontario Electrical Safety Code requirements
Troubleshoot and test basic circuits

Train for a plumbing apprenticeship in residential, commercial, or industrial work. Students work with real piping systems, fixtures, and tools rather than learning from a textbook.
Cut, fit, and join piping systems
Interpret plumbing codes and blueprints
Install and test fixtures and appliances
Use plumbing tools and equipment safely
Troubleshoot drainage and venting problems

12 WEEKS
A solid foundation across the construction trades. This program helps students develop essential skills in residential restoration, refinishing, and new builds.
Basic electrical and plumbing
Rough and finish carpentry, framing, floors, ceilings
Install drywall, taping, doors, and windows
Work with insulation, vapour barrier, and masonry
Read blueprints and construction drawings
Use hand and power tools safely across trades

All Skilled Trades College pre-apprenticeship training in Toronto East runs 12 weeks full-time. Flexible part-time weekend schedules may also be available on the weekends. For more detailed information about course schedules, please contact our admissions office.
Tuition is $14,400 for all programs. That includes a full set of high-end tools, textbooks, personal protective equipment, and all course materials. You only need to buy CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots. Full-time tuition is paid in three installments, part-time in six.
Our Toronto East facility offers specialized trades training for aspiring electricians, plumbers, and home renovation/construction professionals.
Note: Students interested in enrolling in an HVAC Pre-Apprenticeship can check out our Toronto West, Vaughan, or Ajax campuses.
No prior trade experience is required to enroll at our Toronto East location. Applicants simply need a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. If you do not have a high school diploma, you can complete an entrance assessment exam with our admissions team to qualify for enrollment.
