Learn MoreGovernment grants provide financial assistance to individuals pursuing education and training in the skilled trades. These grants can help cover tuition, equipment, and other related expenses. As of April 2025, some programs have concluded, but other opportunities remain available:
This program covers up to $10,000 of eligible trainees’ training costs, with additional accommodations for small employers.
A non-repayable, taxable cash grant available for Ontario apprentices to help pay for trade-related tools and equipment.
Tradespersons can claim a deduction of up to $1,000 for the cost of eligible tools purchased in 2024.
